Now, it’s time to select a blockchain to deploy your project. Each network offers different advantages in terms of gas fees, speed, scalability, security, and ecosystem support.
Consider your project's needs and select the best fit to bring your vision to life.
In Buildtree, you can choose to launch a project on many different blockchains, including Ethereum's test network Sepolia.
What is a Mainnet? A Mainnet is the primary blockchain network where actual transactions occur using real cryptocurrency. Mainnets are live environments where projects are deployed and interact with other users and applications in the network.
What is a Testnet? A testnet is a parallel blockchain network that is used for testing and development purposes. It is a replica of the mainnet, or live production environment, that allows developers to experiment without the risk of losing real funds
To create a project in Sepolia, choose Testnet in the blockchain selection section when starting a new project. Then, you simply follow the same steps as with any other blockchain.
Deploying a project on a testnet like Sepolia allows you to thoroughly test and verify that everything is functioning as expected before going live on the mainnet. This step is very useful for identifying and resolving any issues in a safe environment.
Testnets use their own form of cryptocurrency for gas fees, which can be acquired for free from faucets—websites that distribute testnet currency.
Buildtree supports multiple popular blockchains, each catering to different types of creators and projects:
Select the blockchain that aligns best with your project goals and requirements. Whether you need the security of Ethereum, the cost-efficiency of a Layer 2 solution, or the flexibility of a sidechain, Buildtree gives you the freedom to choose what's best for you.
More blockchain options will be available in future updates, expanding your possibilities even further:
