Upload Folder

To perform a Bulk Upload in Buildtree, you need to prepare a folder containing all your project assets. This step ensures that all your files are organized and ready for the next stages of the process.
Prepare Your Assets Ensure all the files for your project are saved in a single folder. This folder can include images, videos, GIFs, or other supported formats (PNG, JPG, MP4, GIF, GLB). Any file format outside these supported types will be ignored by the platform.
File Naming
Files must be named sequentially, starting from 0
.
For example: If your project contains 1000 assets, the files should be named 0, 1, 2, 3
... up to 999
.
Add Thumbnails to Your Videos
You can assign a thumbnail to your videos during bulk upload. To do this, ensure the video file and its corresponding thumbnail image share the same name within the upload folder. For example:
Video file: 0.mp4
Thumbnail image: 0.jpg
This will automatically set the thumbnail for the video upon upload.
File Size
Max File Size: 100 MB per file.
Max Folder Size: 50 GB.
Ensure Consistency Double-check that all files meet the format, size, and name requirements before proceeding.
Select Folder
Click the Upload button under the "Upload Folder with Files" section. Browse your local device to select the folder containing your assets. Ensure all files are named sequentially and meet Buildtree's supported formats (e.g., PNG, JPG, MP4, GIF).
Review the Files
Once you select the folder, Buildtree will automatically scan the files and display the number of files that meet the requirements for upload.
Verify that this number matches the total number of assets in your project. If any files are missing, review your folder, make necessary adjustments, and upload again.
The next step is to upload a CSV file containing your project metadata, including asset names, descriptions, and attributes.
Error Handling: If an error occurs during the upload process, Buildtree will provide a detailed message indicating the issue. Common errors include unsupported formats, missing files, or incorrect naming. Fix the errors and re-upload the folder.
Asset Replacement: If you have already uploaded assets to your project or created attributes, performing a new bulk upload will replace all existing assets and attributes. Ensure you're ready to proceed before uploading the folder.
